Design: Events - Show Organizer + Show Organizer name as link

Display the name of the event organizer. Option to also make the name a link (URL) such as email or web page for further information.

This option allows you to display the name of the event organizer. If you do, you can choose to also provide a link to your membership and visitors via the organizer's name. For example, perhaps you want to give them a contact link to ask questions or a web page to get more information.

To find these design items...

Step 1: After you log in, click on Calendars (brown box below).

The Your Calendars page will open.

Step 2: Choose the calendar you wish to modify (brown box below).

Step 3: Click on Design (brown box below).

Step 4: Click on Events (brown box below).

Step 5: Scroll down until you find Show Organizer + Show Organizer name as link.

To modify these design items...

Let's look at what happens...

1. We will use the events on the 11th of the month. Our display is weekly view, stacks. However, the outcomes will be the same for any calendar view and display option.

2. We will select the North Campus Test event (brown box above).

3. Both toggles are off: as you can see, no organizer name is displayed.

4. Only "Show Organizer" is toggled on.

Note that the organizer name displays (brown box below).

5. Both items are toggled on.

When the details open, you can see that the organizer's name is displayed as a link (envelope icon in the brown box below). Clicking on the organizer's name will take the viewer to the URL you have put.

Click Save at the bottom of the column to save your changes.
