During the integration setup, Display Church (D.C) will ask for permission to access the following Planning Center (PCO) items: People (mandatory), Calendar (to access your calendar events), and Groups (if you are using our Groups widget).

The person logged in to Display Church (D.C) must have PCO access to the permissions you are allowing. If not, there will be a Scopes issue.

Let's do an example with the Groups Permission.

Situation 1: You have enabled Groups in D.C, BUT the person logged in to D.C does not have Groups access in PCO.

Situation 2: The person logged in to D.C has Groups access in PCO, HOWEVER you have not enabled it in D.C.

Situation 3: The person logged in to D.C does not have Groups access in PCO, AND you have not enabled it in D.C.

Please make sure that the person logged in to D.C has access to Groups in PCO AND you have enabled Groups in D.C.

How to create the integration

Step 1: Log in to D.C.

Step 2:

Click on your Thumbnail in the top, right-hand corner of your Dashboard.

A dropdown menu will open.

Choose Integrations from the dropdown menu.

The Integrations page will open (example in image below).

Step 3:

Find Planning Center (PCO). Click on the Start integration button.

NOTE: The button will turn blue as you hover over it.

You will see Scopes after you click on Start integration.

Step 4: Choose the Scopes you need. Then, click on the blue Integrate with PCO button.

For more information about Scopes: https://help.display.church/en/articles/6501910-scopes.

To find your churchcenter name, log in to PCO and click on registrations.

Click on the Church Center downward arrow. Choose Visit on Church Center.

The name you need is the text BFORE the '.churchcenter' (see blue box in image below for position of the text you need).

Step 5: If you are not logged in to PCO, you will be taken to the log in screen.

Step 6: If you need to give permissions, DCE will prompt you. Here are two examples:

Click on Allow to continue with the integration.

Step 7: Once logged in, the above confirmation will display. Click on the blue GO TO INTEGRATIONS PAGE button.

Step 8:

As you can see in the image above, the integration was successful because there is now sync information.

You will also get a confirmation email. Make sure to check all your folders -- sometimes important things end up in Spam!
