You can add attractive, eye-catching images to your Breeze events. DisplayChurch.Events (DCE) can pull them into your DCE calendar views.

Let's see how that works.

Our example is for the Coffee event on Dec. 28 (gold arrow in image to the left).

The image to the left comes from our Breeze account.

Here is how this event looks in a DCE calendar view. No image.

There is no image in the event details either (and the description definitely could use some work!).

HERE'S THE NINJA TRICK

Step 1: Log in to your Breeze account.

Step 2: Click on the Events tab.

Step 3: Click on the event for which you wish to add an image. In our case, it is Coffee on Dec. 28.

Step 4: Click on Edit Event Settings (brown box in image to the left).

The screen will refresh to the event settings form.

Step 5: Scroll down to Description (brown arrow in image to the left). Click on change (brown box in image to the left).

Step 6: Click on Upload (turquoise box in image below) to add an image. Edit your event description by deleting the existing text and typing in the description space (see brown letters in image below).

6.1 If you click on Upload (turquoise box in image above), the Upload an image box will pop up. Do the usual to upload your desired image.

Step 7: The screen will refresh. You will see the image you have uploaded. If you have edited the description, you will see this too.

Now you have 2 choices...

IS THIS A ONE-TIME EVENT? Click on Save for this Event (gold arrow in image below)

IS THIS A REPEATING EVENT OR AN EVENT SERIES? Click on the downward arrow (brown arrow in image below) to reveal a dropdown menu. Click on Save for Entire Event Series (turquoise box in image below).

Your success will be confirmed.

The screen will refresh to the event settings form.

Step 8: Scroll down to the bottom and click on Save Changes.

Your success will be confirmed.

If you open your event in Breeze again, you will see your changes.

But what about in DCE?

Step 9: You will need to do a sync to refresh the information DCE has for this event.

HOWEVER...Due to the way Breeze caches updates, it is recommended to wait for 15 minutes (fifteen minutes) BEFORE doing your DCE sync. In that way, all your changes will be available for syncing.

Has 15 minutes passed? Great!

Head over to your Integrations page by choosing it from the dropdown menu (turquoise box in image to the left.

Step 10: Click on More (3 dots menu) and choose Quick Sync.

Let's see what happens...

AHHH...

An inviting image on your calendar view (image above) and in your event description (image below).

Just to remind your eyes, here is the BEFORE display:

NOTE:

DCE will pull in the FIRST attachment listed in your Breeze event and use it as an event image (unless the file type prevents us from doing so).
