HOW TO FIND THIS DESIGN SECTION

Step 1: Click on the Design tab.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see the Badges section (turquoise box in image to the left).

Step 3: Click on arrow (brown arrow in image to the left) to open the section.

HOW TO WORK WITH THIS DESIGN SECTION

This is what you will see when the section is open.

-------------------------------

POSITION

In the image below, note that there is nothing between the section name (Badges) and the sub-section Recurring events. We have called attention to this with our turquoise text in the image below.

The reason nothing is showing is that NEITHER the Recurring Events Show badge nor the Featured Events Show badge is toggled on (brown boxes in image above).

However, if you toggle at least one of them on, the Position design item will appear.

1. Note that the Position chosen will be the same for both badges. In other words, if you toggle on the Recurring Events badge and the Featured Events badge both badges will appear in the same area.

2. Scroll down to the badge of your choice to see examples of the 4 different Position options:

Recurring Events (section just below)

RECURRING EVENTS

No matter which calendar view you are working in, you will always see the Show badge in event details toggle button (turquoise box in image to the left).

[You may also see the Show badge toggle button (brown box in image to the left). We will speak about this further down.]

Toggle on Show badge in event details (image to the left) to have the Recurring Events badge display in your event details (pop-up or accordion).

Note the placement of the Recurring Events badge in the event details image below. This is always where it will be.

As we mentioned above, depending on the calendar view you are working with, you may also see the Show badge toggle button (brown box in image to the left).

Toggle on this design item to enable a Recurring Events badge on the calendar view image. (You will see examples in a minute.)

Show badge + Badges location work together because Badge location determines where the Recurring Events badge is to be placed. See the four choices (options) and results below.

FEATURED EVENTS

No matter which calendar view you are working in, you will always see the Show badge in event details toggle button (turquoise box in image to the left).

[You may also see the Show badge toggle button (brown box in image to the left). We will speak about this further down.]

Toggle on Show badge in event details (image to the left) to have the Featured Events badge display in your event details (pop-up or accordion).

Note the placement of the Featured Events badge in the event details image below. This is always where it will be.

As we mentioned above, depending on the calendar view you are working with, you may also see the Show badge toggle button (brown box in image to the left).

Toggle on this design item to enable a Featured Events badge on the calendar view image. (You will see examples in a minute.)

Show badge + Badges location work together because Badge location determines where the Featured Events badge is to be placed. See the four choices (options) and results below.

BADGE COLORS

NOTE: If you are not familiar with our DCE custom color picker, check it out here.

When you toggle on any one of these 4 buttons, you will see two new design items connected to the badge color.

Two connected to the Recurring events badge:

Two connected to the Featured events badge:

Recurring event background & Featured event background: The area behind the badge text. The Recurring event default is pink. The Featured event default is green.

Recurring event label & Featured event label: The color of the text characters themselves. Both the Recurring event and Featured event defaults are white.
