People need to see your calendars, groups widgets, event alerts, and/or sign-up forms widgets in order for them to be effective. We will do this via the Install tab.

2024.03.22: Sometimes, new embeds do not show up in on builder pages until published. We suggest using a test page or private mode to set things up. Once things are set as you want them, you can update the actual page or make your private page public.

Publishing

1. Log in to Display.Church.

2. Open the Widgets section if not already opened (blue box in image below).

3. Choose the widget category required: Calendars, Groups, Event Alerts, or Sign-up Forms.

4. Inside your chosen category, open the item you wish to work with.

5. Make sure you are in the Install tab.

6. To publish your item:

Option 1: Toggle on the Make this widget available to others button.
OR
Option 2: Click on the blue Publish button.

7. Choose the next step(s) you need...

Install: To install your widget on a website, click on the blue Install button.

Installing

After clicking the blue Install button, you will see the following display:

Click on Standard install; then click on the blue Next button.

(1) EVENT ALERTS: If you are working with an Event Alert, you will see this:

Click on Copy to copy the snippet. Paste it into the <head> of your website.

(2) ANY OTHER WIDGET CATEGORY: If you are working with any other widget category, you will see this:

Choose your installation method. Click to open. Follow the instructions.

We recommend the Default Installation.

However, if you do not have access to the <head> section of your website, please choose the middle one: Alternative Installation (Limited Website Access).

USING THE DEFAULT INSTALLATION

(1) Click on the upper Copy to copy the snippet. Paste it into the <head> of your website. This is a one-time action.

(2) Click on the lower Copy to copy the HTML5 object. Paste it in the location on your webpage where you want your widget to appear.

USING THE ALTERNATIVE INSTALLATION

This installation method is intended for users who are unable to access the <head> section of their website as discussed in the recommended installation. However, please note that this approach is not ideal, especially if you plan to use multiple calendar on the same webpage. Using this method repeatedly can negatively impact your website's speed and the performance of your widgets.

Click on the "Use the Code" Copy to copy the snippet. Paste it into the relevant section of your website.

USING THE EXPERIMENTAL INSTALLATION (FALLBACK METHOD)

This is a fallback method to use if your website theme employs an aggressive stylesheet that prevents the calendar from displaying properly. While this option may help embed the calendar effectively, it’s important to note that it may not offer the same visual integration as the recommended methods. Note: This method will embed your widget in the iframe on website.

(1) Click on the upper Copy to copy the snippet. Paste it into the <head> of your website. This is a one-time action.

(2) Click on the lower Copy to copy the HTML5 object. Paste it in the location on your webpage where you want your widget to appear.
