Partners can now sync hidden (unpublished) events and optionally choose to show those on any calendar.
Syncing hidden (unpublished) events can be huge as you are not forced to add all events to the public calendar. Depending on your workflow, you might enable this for your current calendar or create separate calendars per ministry, and embed those on your group or ministry’s website page(s).
By default, events not added to the public calendar do not get pulled over.
We never pull over pending or rejected events.
There are two main parts to this process:
Part 1 = Giving Display.Church (D.C) permission to pull in your Planning Center (PCO) events
Part 2 = Telling D.C which calendar views should display those events
PART 1: GIVING D.C PERMISSION TO PULL IN YOUR PCO EVENTS
Permission is granted during the D.C—PCO integration process. If you have not yet integrated, open this article in a new tab: https://help.display.church/en/articles/5521761-displaychurch-events-how-it-works-with-planning-center-pco
PART 2: TELLING D.C WHICH CALENDAR VIEWS SHOULD DISPLAY HIDDEN EVENTS
Step 1: Log in to D.C.
Step 2: Click on Calendars (brown box below).
The Your Calendars page will display.
Step 3: Choose the calendar view you wish to work with. You have two options.
3.1 You can click on the calendar name (turquoise arrow below).
-OR-
3.2 You can click on the Action menu (3 vertical dots, brown box & arrow below). When the menu opens up, click on Edit.
Either way, the calendar view will open.
Step 4:
To display hidden events on your calendar view, toggle on the Show hidden events button. It will turn blue (see image below).
Notice that the following recommendation displays: "We recommend using the events filtering option available below. Publishing your calendar without events filtering will reveal all the events."
Step 5: To follow the above recommendation, open this article in a new tab: https://help.display.church/en/articles/5553777-setup-events-filtering-filter-selection-pco
Step 6: Click Submit to save your changes.
