At the moment (June 2023), there are two calendar options available in Planning Center.
One is under the Calendar service. The other is under the Groups service.
THESE CALENDARS DO NOT 'TALK' TO ONE ANOTHER UNLESS YOU CONNECT THEM VIA A FEED.
So, if you created an event in a Groups calendar, it will not be pulled in to a Calendar calendar unless you connect them.
How do you do this?
In your Calendar service, you click on Filter (turquoise box in image to the left). Then you scroll down to Groups (turquoise arrow in image to the left). Click on Groups to open the dropdown menu (fuchsia box in image to the left).
You connect the Groups calendars whose events you want the Calendar calendar to pull in. This connection is called 'a feed'.
In the example above, the Groups calendar Unique Groups does not have a feed (greyed out). So no events in this calendar will display on your Calendar calendar. |
PLEASE NOTE that this situation will change soon. Planning Center says: Calendar will no longer be supporting feeds moving forward to allow for a more powerful and flexible solution with connects. Use your feed settings below to make the transition (brown arrow in main image above).
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Nothing at the moment. Display.Church has changed our coding to accommodate this transition.
'Group' (image above) now appears as Group (via Feed) or Group (via Connection) depending on how you set it up in PCO.
