It looks like you ran into a problem when trying to display your calendar and/or groups widget view. There are different reasons why this can happen. Overall, however, it is something to do with the way you set things up in Install.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Step 1: Find your error message in the list below.

Step 2: Use the links to access the relevant help desk article(s).

Step 3: Follow the guidance to doublecheck how you set things up in the Install tab.

Error message 1: Domain issue

"SORRY! This calendar cannot be displayed due to a domain issue (website missing or inactive). Website admin: Please re-check your DC Install configuration. ID: XXXXXXXX-YYYYYYYYYY" Please re-check your DCE Install configuration."

It's most likely that the URL where the embed is placed is not included as an approved website on the Your Websites page.

WHY COULD THIS HAPPEN?

Reason 1: You have a new account and are embedding for the first time. You didn't tell us where you plan to embed this widget.

Reason 2: Another case could be that you are using a temporary domain name as a sandbox or while you create your website and that temporary domain name is not approved or added as an approved website to your account.

Reason 3: You did add your church website, but the URL your website uses in the back end is different to the URL of your main website. e.g. Your website is www.ourchurch.com but the backend where you are editing the website is ourchurch-clients.websitebuilder.com.

ACTION TO TAKE

(1) Double check your URLs listed in the website access panel in the DC dashboard. Is there a typo somewhere and when you fix it, the URLs match? If so, you have solved the issue. Here are the basic steps:

Sign-in to D.C --> Click on Websites. Here is the direct link: https://my.display.church/domains

(2) You may have a limit on the number of websites you add. In most cases, we can whitelist internal/temporary/administrative types of URLS so you can access. Please share that website URL with us along with an explanation replying to this message. We will review and likely whitelist it.

(3) If you confirmed that the website URL of your organization page was added as an approved website in the D.C Websites settings, then it may be a technical bug that we can resolve. If so, reply to this email and let us know. Include screenshots and your organization's website URL where you first saw the issue.

Error message 2: Not published yet

OH DEAR! This calendar / groups widget cannot be displayed as it is not yet published. Website admin: Please go to the DCE Install tab and publish your calendar view.

ACTION TO TAKE

Publishing your calendar or groups widget view is done in the Install tab of the template you are working with.

Simply toggle on the publish button. It will turn blue.

Error message 3: Installation glitch (general)

UH OH! This calendar / groups widget cannot be displayed due an installation glitch. Website admin: Please go to the DCE Install tab and make sure your calendar / groups widget is published. Also, re-check your DCE Install configuration. Still a problem? Please get in touch.

ACTION TO TAKE

Click the links above for more information.

If the issue persists, please get in touch.

Please include as much information as possible about the situation. Including screenshots and/or videos is particularly helpful, so we can get your Display.Church items in place as quickly as we can.
