FAQ: I don't see an event.
FAQ: I don't see an event.

Missing some events you just added? Or your images did not get updated? Here are some of the most common reasons and solution.

Reason 1: Your latest event information has not yet been updated in Display.Church

One of the most common situations is that you have made event changes in your integration: Breeze, Pushpay/CCB, Google Calendar (GCal) or Planning Center (PCO). However, you have not resynced your Display.Church calendar view, groups widget, or sign-up forms widget. Thus, Display.Church does not have access to this updated information.

Solution:

Click on your thumbnail.

Choose Integrations from the dropdown menu.

Click on the 3-dot Action Menu of your integration.

Choose Quick Sync (Recommended).

Reason 2: Your Setup tab filtering choices have eliminated these events.

In other words, the events you have asked Display.Church to show do not include the event(s) you are missing. Display.Church 'sees' the events; however you have asked us to ignore them.

This will vary by integration. However, some examples are:

  • You have toggled on 'Show events with images only' and your event does not have an image. [relevant for all integrations]

  • Your event is private but you have not toggled on 'Show private events'. [relevant for CCB]

  • Your event is hidden but you have not toggled on 'Show hidden events'. [relevant for PCO]

Solution

Go to the Setup tab of your Display.Church calendar or widget. Review your filtering choices.

Remember to check your additional filters in the Add filter section (for example: Calendar(s), Locations(s), Tag(s), etc.)

Reason 3: Your Design tab events choices have eliminated these events.

Like in Reason 2, the events you have asked Display.Church to show do not include the event(s) you are missing. Display.Church 'sees' the events; however you have asked us to ignore them. This time, it is your choices in the Design tab which are causing the situation.

This will vary by type of calendar or widget as well as by integration. However, here are two of the most common examples:

  • You are displaying a monthly calendar or weekly view but you are not displaying navigation arrows. As a result, your people cannot see events beyond the current month.

  • You are displaying a cards (grid), slider calendar, or events list. You are showing [3] upcoming events or current week events only. Your missing event(s) falls outside these parameters.

Solution

Go to the Design tab --> Events section and review the display choices you have made.

Reason 4: Attendance only (relevant for CCB)

One of the reasons your Pushpay/CCB events may not appear on your Display.Church calendar views is the Pushpay option 'This event is for attendance purposes only'.

If you chose this option, the event will not populate your Display.Church calendar feed. You can find this option in the event settings under Attendance Settings.

Solution

Go to Pushpay/CCB and uncheck this box in the relevant event(s).
